boxes and boxes and boxes

We leave for South Africa in one week. Notice that was written with a period, not an exclamation point. But before that, on Sunday, we move all of our belongings into a garage. That means that we have to be ready and packed for South Africa on Saturday. And we'll be homeless for a few days before we leave. But thankfully friends of ours will be out of town and are letting us stay in their place.

We've spent the majority of our free time packing boxes and trying to get ready to move this weekend. I'm not feeling the crunch... but I'm sure come Sunday I'll feel it. For now I'm just really enjoying the sunshine. It's not hot outside, maybe 70 at the highest. But I can see all the mountains and I can feel the warmth of the sun on my face. Oh, and I got my hair cut. Love it!

My new hair cut.

Just thought I'd share our Father's Day card with you. It makes me chuckle.
You could say I LOL softly.

This one makes me LOL heartily. I love our bunny. I took this picture after setting him up on the window sill. He was not pleased as his furry paws don't handle well on smooth surfaces.

sunset over the blue ridge mountains

Brian and I were reminiscing lately about being back in NC during the summer. How great it would be to spend some time back in Boone and drive along the parkway just in time to catch the sun set over the mountains. That would be so sweet. In lieu of an expensive trip back home, we decided to make our own sunset. It's definitely not as pretty as God's. But we tried! Hope you enjoy it! :o)

I'm wanting to boycott the rain and protest for sunshine, but Brian said that won't work. Here's to wishing! Cheers!
