Brian and I enjoyed a nice long weekend together. It was great and much-deserved. Things are slowing down on campus but AIA stuff in the office is picking up speed. After a great Good Friday service Brian and I went to IKEA to buy some flower boxes. I love going to that store! If only they sold clothes, then I wouldn't need to go anywhere else! Planting the daffodils and violas was great. Now I want a garden of my own so I can grow vegetables and bigger flowers.
Now that Easter has come and gone and school is winding down, summer is officially on it's way. Time for a change of wardrobe and lots of trips around the world. But while everyone else seems excited for summer to come, I'm not all that happy about it. The beginning of summer has always been kind of a sad time for me. I remember walking home from the last day of class in the third grade and crying because I wasn't going to see my friends everyday and (believe it or not) I knew I would miss my teacher. It's been that same kind of feeling every year for 15 years.
I want this summer to be different. I want to enjoy it and make the most of it. Summer in Vancouver is so beautiful! Plus, by the end of the summer there will be at least 3 new additions to the world. I'm so excited to meet all of our friends' new babies. Congratulations to the Stovers, Hourstons, and Tans!!! (And, in case you were going to ask, that won't happen any time soon for us.)

Here's a picture of my new haircut... although it's been a month so I need to go again soon.
